BNT received an award from the association of public service broadcasters in Europe - CIRCOM because of its coverages on the war in Ukraine.

Aleksander Markov, the reporter of BNT newscast "Around the World and at Home" was awarded in the category "News Report" for his coverage from Krasnokhorivka over Mariupol.

BNT's team - Alexander Markov, cameraman Vladimir Bogdanski and video technician Robert Vetsov - was one of the few in Europe to be in Mariupol in the days before and during the war, and covered the first hours live, with footage used by 75 media outlets over 540 times.

The Prix CIRCOM Regional Awards eremony was held in Galway, Ireland on May 26.

This award is a recognition for BNT and the efforts of our team - we were one of the few media outlets from Europe in Mariupol when the war started on 24 February, showing it literally live. I am grateful for the historic chance to see it all with our own eyes, and to our European partners for the high praise. I pray that this war, which has brought enormous human suffering to millions of people, will come to an end," said Aleksander Markov.
