Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 609 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 609 from 8,739 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on April 21.

Test positivity rate is 7%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,151,620

The active cases are 156,959.

Of the total, 938 patients are in hospitals, 116 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 2,470 recoveries;

· 1,348 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

· 11 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 65,52% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 63,64% had not been vaccinated.

There were 85 new hospitalisations, of which 81,18% had not been vaccinated.
