Serious risk of avalanches is observed in Bulgaria’s Pirin Mountain. From the 5-degree European scale, the experts from Avalanche Bulgaria report a danger of just over 3 degrees.
Andy Balevski from the avalanche association in Bulgaria commented on March 7 that the mountain slopes, which are an attractive place for both skiers and mountaineers, are especially dangerous. Avalanches are also possible in the forested belts of slopes with steep gradients, the experts added.
