A 62-year-old man was killed by an avalanche in Pirin mountains, southwestern Bulgaria.
The incident was reported to 112 emergency number last night (May 15) at 19.00, from the area of “Yavorov” hut.
The man, who was from the town of Razlog, was skiing when he was overwhelmed by the avalanche. He was with a friend and they were going on slopes forbidden to skiers.
Late last night his body was transported for an autopsy by a medical examiner.
