The Bulgarian Development Bank will support the campaign of the Bulgarian Red Cross and its humanitarian mission with the amount of 50 000 BGN, which will be used to support refugees from the military conflict in Ukraine.
The donated funds will be mainly directed to cover the costs for the stay of asylum seekers in the country, many of whom are mothers with children and elderly people.
At the same time, Sofia Tech Park is starting to provide accommodation and job opportunities for those fleeing the war in Ukraine. The Park Hostel of the Science and Technology Park has already accommodated Ukrainian citizens and provided food and necessities.
The Sofia Tech Park team is ready to provide suitable accommodation for about 100 more Ukrainian citizens in another building on the park's territory.
The company will also provide opportunities for Ukrainian citizens to find employment through its network of partners from the innovation ecosystem in Bulgaria.
Sofia Tech Park is also working on the creation of study halls, where, if necessary, an educational process will be organized for the children of Ukrainian families who will be accommodated on the territory of the science and technology park.
