On April 5 and 6, the President of the Republic of Albania, Ilir Meta, is on an official visit to Bulgaria, at the invitation of the Bulgarian Head of State Rumen Radev.
Topics on the agenda of the bilateral relations, the regional partnership in Southeastern Europe, as well as the European integration of the Western Balkan countries are expected to be the focus of the meeting of the two presidents.
At 9.00 a.m. President Rumen Radev welcomed his Albanian counterpart with an official ceremony, held in front “Alexander Nevski” cathedral in Sofia. President Meta laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.
The two presidents will have a face-to-face meeting at the Presidency, after which plenary talks will take place between the Bulgarian and Albanian delegations. Later, the two will hold a joint press conference.
