From February 14, Sofia city will ease some of the anti-epidemic measures.This was announced by Sofia city district governor, Ivan Kyuchukov.

Pupils from all grades return to in-person attendance classes, with presenting green certificate or Covid-19 testing once a week.

If the number of Covid-19 cases increases, the stricter measures may be re-introduced.

Hospitals in sofia resume elective surgery.

The restriction requiring restaurants to close by 10 pm is being lifted.

However, the requirement for restaurants to use no more than 50% of their capacity and the requirement for staff and customers to have green certificates remains in effect.

From 00:01 on February 10, bars and discos are allowed to re-open. The requirrement for green certificate and operating at 50% capacity remains in place.

Against this backdrop comes the alarming data on mortality rate from Covid-19 in hospitals in the country - one out of three Covid patients in Pirogov emergencuy hospital in Sofia and in the hospital in Dobrich has died.
