Bulgaria will participate in the first semi-final of the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest. The allocation draw took place today, January 25, at Madama Palace in Turin, the city which will host the contest this year.
In the first semi-final on May 10, the Bulgaria’s “Intelligent Music Project” band will compete with the representatives of 18 countries, including Russia, Greece and Switzerland. France and Italy will also sing their songs, which are from the so-called "big 5" and automatically qualify for the final.
The first rehearsal of the Bulgarian group is scheduled for April 30. Italy won the right to host Eurovision for the third time after the victory of the rock band Maneskin in Rotterdam. As part of the tradition, at the grand finale on May 14, they will perform the song that won the contest and a new one.
