MPs on April 14 at second reading approved texts in the Judiciary Act, which envisage the closure of the Specialised Court and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office.
The MPs continue the debate on the remaining texts in the draft law. They have yet to decide what will happen to the cases and investigations currently assigned to the specialised court and specialised prosecutor's office.
The legislative amendment also includes the abolition of career bonuses for members of the Supreme Judicial Council. The reform is fully supported by all four parties in the ruling coalition. Opposition GERB-UDF and the MRF are against it.
