Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev is in Poland for the B-9 meeting. The focus is on the security issues of NATO's eastern flank member states. President Rumen Radev is also taking part in an online NATO meeting on the developments in Ukraine.

After Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appealed for help for Ukraine, Polish President Andrzej Duda stressed today, February 25 at the opening of the B-9 that it is time for the West to declare to Russia an absolutely united position and to support Ukraine even more strongly.

I agree with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, who says “if you do not help us today, tomorrow the war may knock on your doors”. It is very important to understand these words, because we are in the shadow of Russian domination. The Russians understand only the language of power, and so it was in tsarist Russia, in communist Russia, and now in Putin's Russia. It is time to declare to Russia that the position of the West is absolutely united and to support Ukraine even more strongly, said Andrzej Duda, President of Poland.

Defence ministers, including Bulgaria’s Stefan Yanev, have already discussed the crisis in Ukraine in the B-9 format. The allies condemned in the strongest terms Russia's invasion in Ukraine and called on Russia to immediately cease its military actions.

Russia's aggressive policy has united the Allies' views on the need for close cooperation, coordinated action, and the strengthening of deterrence and defence capabilities on NATO's eastern flank.
