The Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, arrived on an official visit in Bulgaria on April 20, at the invitation of the Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov.
Within the framework of the visit, the Chair of the highest military body of the Alliance will meet with Bulgaria’s Minister of Defence, Dragomir Zakov, and the Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov.
They will discuss issues related to strengthening the defence of NATO's south-eastern flank in the context of the war in Ukraine and the Alliance's adaptation in response to the changed geopolitical security environment.
Tomorrow, Admiral Emil Eftimov and Admiral Rob Bauer will participate in the Capability Demonstration Day during a joint battle group training at the Novo Selo training range.
