For the past three months of 2021, the cost of living needed for a person has increased by 101 BGN, compared to the same period of 2020, a survey by CITUB trade union shows.
The increase is due to the significant rise of the prices of electricity, natural gas and the subsequent rise in prices of basic food products.
There has been an increase in the price of essential goods as well.
CITUB insists that the minimum wage this year be raised to BGN 760, that the incomes of those working in the budget sphere be increased by at least 10%, and that of those "working on terrain" by at least 15%.
