Complicated road traffic due to snow fall

Traffic on Hemus Motorway in the direction of Sofia is temporarily restricted for motor vehicles weighing more than 12 tonnes due to snow ploughing.

The traffic is regulated by the Traffic Police.

The road situation in Sofia is complicated due to the heavy snowfall, which started early this morning.

178 snow ploughing machines and all control teams of the Sofia Inspectorate, of the Emergency Directorate in Sofia are on site. Snow ploughs are cleaning primarily on the streets with public transport.
