Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,073 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,073 from 26,827 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on December 12.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 714,156

The active cases are 97,544.

Of the total, 5,284 patients are in hospitals, 627 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 918 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 587,126

· 5,989 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 3,490,637.

· 27 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 29,486.

Of the daily cases, 81.08% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 85.19% had not been vaccinated.

There were 145 new hospitalisations, of which 88.97% had not been vaccinated.

*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
