Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 126 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 126 from 2,694 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on May 16.

Test positivity rate is less than 5%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,161,630.

The active cases are 110,099.

Of the total, 598 patients are in hospitals, 54 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 181 recoveries;

· 73 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

· 3 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 63,49% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 29 new hospitalisations, of which 68,97% had not been vaccinated.
