Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,552 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,552 from 13,017 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on March 24.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,129,641.

Test positivity rate is nearly 12%.

The active cases are 191,254.

Of the total, 2,025 patients are in hospitals, 233 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 1,555 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 902,012

· 2,082 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,340,722.

· 25 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 36,375.

Of the daily cases, 67.85% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 88,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 188 new hospitalisations, of which 79,26% had not been vaccinated.
