Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,720 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,720 from 15,874 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on March 18.

Test positivity rate is at 10,8%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,121,194.

The active cases are 192,721.

Of the total, 2,259 patients are in hospitals, 276 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 2,751 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 892,225

· 2,444 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,332,347.

· 26 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 36,248.

Of the daily cases, 69.88% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 92.31% had not been vaccinated.

There were 196 new hospitalisations, of which 82.65% had not been vaccinated.
