Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,393 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,393 from 18,262 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on March 16.

Test positivity rate is at 13,1%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,117,525.

The active cases are 195,420.

Of the total, 2,349 patients are in hospitals, 288 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 4,892 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 882,649

· 2,327 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,327,565.

· 34 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 36,196.

Of the daily cases, 70.41% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 91.18% had not been vaccinated.

There were 248 new hospitalisations, of which 80.65% had not been vaccinated.
