Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,433 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2, 433 from 20,013 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on March 15.

Test positivity rate is at 12%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,115,132.

The active cases are 196,321.

Of the total, 2,403 patients are in hospitals, 311 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 4,892 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 882,649

· 1,853 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,325,241.

· 64 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 36,162.

Of the daily cases, 70.69% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 82.81% had not been vaccinated.

There were 299 new hospitalisations, of which 79.93% had not been vaccinated.
