Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,641 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,641 from 18,296 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on March 2.

Test positivity rate is at 14,4%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,093,920.

The active cases are 214,709.

Of the total, 3,652 patients are in hospitals, 461 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 3,397 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 843,574

· 2,322 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,302,819.

· 56 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 35,637.

Of the daily cases, 72.51% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 92.86% had not been vaccinated.

There were 321 new hospitalisations, of which 82.87% had not been vaccinated.
