The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 5,525 from 38,427 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on January 7. 2022.
Test positivity rate is a little above 14%.
the largest number of new cases was rregistered in Sofia city (1906), followed by Varna (519) and Bourgas (474).
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 770,001
The active cases are 121,178.
Of the total, 4,790 patients are in hospitals, 509 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 1,684 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 617,448
· 35,177 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 3,804,111.
· 72 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 31,375.
Of the daily cases, 71.42% had not been vaccinated.
Of those who died, 97.22% had not been vaccinated.
There were 603 new hospitalisations, of which 82.92% had not been vaccinated.
*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
