The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 6,766 from 52,040 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on January 6. 2022.

Blagoevgrad – 529; Bourgas - 598; Varna - 583; Veliko Turnovo – 120; Vidin – 54; Vratsa – 109; Gabrovo – 68; Dobrich – 74; Kardzhali - 35; Kyustendil - 94; Lovech - 76; Montana - 67; Pazardzhik - 158; Pernik - 120; Pleven – 143; Plovdiv - 558; Razgrad - 22; Rousse - 181; Silistra – 52; Sliven - 112; Smolyan – 64; Sofia district - 244; Sofia city – 2,212; Stara Zagora - 233; Targovishte - 53; Haskovo - 125; Shoumen – 101; Yambol - 81.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 764,476
The active cases are 117,409.
Of the total, 4,608 patients are in hospitals, 493 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 758 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 615,764
· 32,429 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 3,736,566.
· 66 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 31,303.
Of the daily cases, 71.58% had not been vaccinated.
Of those who died, 93.94% had not been vaccinated.
There were 672 new hospitalisations, of which 85.42% had not been vaccinated.
*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
