The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 9,996 from 44,772 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on January 18.
Test positivity rate is slightly above 22%.
By districts, the largest number of new cases was registered in Sofia-city (2,711), followed by Blagoevgrad (907) and Plovdiv (737).
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 830,604
The active cases are 160,761.
Of the total, 5,223 patients are in hospitals, 541 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 551 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 637,596
· 13,723 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,020,717.
· 161 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 32,247.
Of the daily cases, 78.78% had not been vaccinated.
Of those who died, 91.93% had not been vaccinated.
There were 829 new hospitalisations, of which 82.63% had not been vaccinated.
*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
