Corovavirus in Bulgaria: Another record cases rise of 12,399

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 12,399 from 43,981 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on January 26.

Test positivity rate is at 28%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 903,277.

The active cases are 217,129.

Of the total, 5,347 patients are in hospitals, 523 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 2,688 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 653,678

· 10,667 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 4,114,896.

· 73 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 32,869.

Of the daily cases, 76.21% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 83.56% had not been vaccinated.

There were 692 new hospitalisations, of which 82.95% had not been vaccinated.

*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
