There are three candidates for members of the Council of Electronic Media (CEM) from the quota of the National Assembly. These are the media law expert and PhD in constitutional law Simona Veleva, nominated by "We Continue the Change" party; journalists Prolet Velkova, nominated by "Democratic Bulgaria" and Todor Belenski from "Vazrazhdane".
They will compete for two seats in the 5-member CEM, as the term of office of two of the members expires at the end of April. April 14, 6 pm, was the deadline for parties and coalitions to propose candidates for the regulatory body from the National Assembly quota.
“There is Such a People” party put forward the candidacy of journalist Martin Karbovsky, but a day later he withdrew from the race.
