By order of the Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, Boiko Kadinov was relieved from the post of Deputy Minister of Culture on April 12.
He leaves the post at his own request, in coordination with the Minister of Culture Atanas Atanasov. Kadinov resigned on 7 April - a day before the publication of a video of the Culture Minister, which sparked a number of comments on social networks, because of its atypical nature and the behavior of minister Atanas Atanasov in the video. Some doubted what may have provoked it.
Arch. Kadinov’s motives to step down were the lack of reforms and the inability to change the Law on Cultural Heritage. According to him, Minister Atanas Atanasov lacks the will for the reforms.
Kadinov said that he does not like the fact that more and more prominent creative professionals want Atanas Atanasov's resignation. He also found it worrying that the competition for the election of a new director of the National Theatre had generated such mixed reactions.
