European Chief Prosecutor Laura Kövesi met with Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev on March 17.
They discussed the cooperation between the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and the European Public Prosecutor's Office in countering frauds with EU funds, VAT frauds, money laundering, corruption and organised crime. The general opinion is that the cooperation so far has been good and good results have been achieved, the Prosecutor's Office said.

Laura Kövesi is in Bulgaria at the invitation of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov. During her visit, she will also have meetings with the Ministers of Justice and Interior.
