The delegation of the EP Committee on Budgetary Control, which visited Bulgaria from April 11 to 13, presented the results of its fact-finding on allegations of corruption and misuse of EU subsidies.
During its stay in Bulgaria, the delegation, led by Tomáš Zdechovský, met with representatives of civil society, investigative journalists, the Bulgarian audit authority and the body that manages and monitors EU funds.
They also talked to civil servants involved in the management of EU funds and visited the National Assembly, where they met with Bulgarian parliamentarians from the anti-corruption committee. The delegates also had a meeting with the Prosecutor General.
