GERB party takes lead in recent polls by “Alpha Research”

The political turbulence in the past two months has affected people's preferences, according to a survey by Alpha Research polling agency.

There is a general trend towards a different wavering in support for the ruling parties, consolidation among GERB supporters and mobilisation of radical voting, the agency said. According to the poll, among those who would vote, 21.7% would support GERB.

"We Continue the Change" is in second place with 18.4%. The Bulgrian Socialist Party is in third place with 10.2%. Vazrazhdane party, the smallest group in the current Parliament, is fourth with 9.4% of the vote.

Movement for Rights and Freedoms has 7.6% support.

“Democratic Bulgaria” receives 6.7% support.

“There is Such a People” party has 4.5%.

The survey is part of the regular monitoring of Alpha Research.

It was conducted between April 8 and 14 among 1,037 adult Bulgarians across the country
