Health authroties fined 21 MPs for not wearing masks against Covid-19 in Parliament

Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate (RHI) on February 33 fined 21 MPs for not wearing masks in Parliament

The inspection found that all MPs from the parliamentary group of “Vazrazhdane”, five from GERB, two from "There is Such a People" and one from the PG of "Democratic Bulgaria" were without masks at their place of work.

All of them were called to appear at the offices of Sofia RHI to be handed penalty notices. The envisaged fines for individuals range from BGN 300 to BGN 1,000, according to the inspection.

“Vazrazhdane” chairman Kostadin Kostadinov, from whose parliamentary group all MPs were considered in violation of the anti-epidemic measures, later told reporters that they would appeal if fines are imposed for not wearing masks.
