Justice Minister Nadezhda Yordanova said in Veliko Turnovo on April 15 that after the plenum of the Supreme Judicial Council in May, she expects an in-depth debate to show the public what standards the prosecutor general should meet.
"Obviously, in the coming weeks I will have to remind quite often what the Constitutional Court says. The Constitutional Court is saying that the constitutional legislature has focused in the personality of the Prosecutor General, the ultimate responsibility for the lawfulness of the performance of all prosecutors, whether they are applying their powers lawfully. Therefore, the issue regarding the Prosecutor General is both institutional and personal. It should be approached very responsibly," said Nadezhda Yordanova, Minister of Justice.
