The National Revenue Agency management and their Korean counterparts discussed the digitalization and digital transformation of the tax administration, as well as the opportunities to curb emerging tax fraud schemes with virtual currencies. The delegation, led by Daeji Kim, Commissioner of the Korean National Tax Service, was on a visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of Rumen Spetsov, Executive Director of the Bulgarian revenue agency.
The hosts briefed the Korean tax experts on the achievements and challenges in the context of digital transformation in the NRA, while the Director of Offshore Tax Compliance, Mr. Jung Sang Kim, presented the digital transformation in the Korean tax administration.
Both sides highly appreciated the best practices exchanged and highlighted their importance for the development of the administration and increasing tax collection. Rumen Spetsov, Executive Director of the NRA, and his Korean counterpart Te Ji Kim expressed hope that the good relations between the two administrations will lead to full cooperation in the future.
