During the month under review in the groups of non-food goods and services there was an increase in prices for: materials for repair and maintenance of dwellings - by 1.9%, central gas supply - by 7.9%, gaseous fuels for domestic use - by 1.2%, coal - by 9.8 %, firewood - by 0.5%, washing machines and dishwashers - by 1.9%, air conditioning - by 1.6%, other cleaning and disinfecting agents (liquid household cleaners) - by 0.7%, washing powders - by 2.3% , spare parts for LTS - by 0.6%, diesel fuel - by 0.1%, propane-butane gas for LTS - by 1.1%, methane for LTS - by 2.8%, TVs - by 0.8%, laptops - by 1.2%, floristry - by 1.7%, catering services - by 0.7%, short-term accommodation services - by 6.0%, hairdressing services - by 0.3%, and others.

In December 2021, in the groups of non-food goods and services, there was a decrease in prices for: clothing and footwear - by 1.0 and 0.5%, respectively, cookers - by 0.3%, dishwashing detergents - by 1.9%, car tires and bicycles - by 0.3%, petrol A95H - by 0.6%, petrol A100H - by 0.7%, pet goods - by 1.4%, electronic games - by 10.3%, personal care products - by 0.2%, cosmetics - by 0.4%, car insurance - by 0.1%, and others.

In December 2021 an increase in the prices of medical and dental services was registered by 0.5 and 0.2%, respectively, and the prices of medicinal products remained at the level of the previous month.

Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP)

The harmonized index of consumer prices for December 2021 compared to November 2021 is 100.8%, ie monthly inflation is 0.8%. The annual inflation for December 2021 compared to December 2020 is 6.6%.

The average annual inflation for the period January - December 2021 compared to the period January - December 2020 is 2.8%.

According to the HICP, in December 2021, compared to the previous month, the prices of goods and services in the consumer groups changed as follows:

• food products and non-alcoholic beverages - an increase of 1.3%;
• alcoholic beverages and tobacco products - an increase of 0.3%;
• clothing and footwear - a decrease of 0.8%;

In December 2021, the prices of goods and services from the small basket for the lowest 20% of households changed compared to the previous month, as follows:

• food products - an increase of 1.6%;
• non-food products - an increase of 0.2%;
• services - an increase of 0.1%.
