The Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament, Nikola Minchev, on May 16, welcomed the President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Roberto Fico, in front of the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in central Sofia.
The two laid wreaths in memory of those who died for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria. Then Minchev and Fico walked to the building of Pareliement, where they are having a face-to-face meeting.
The topics of the discussion include parliamentary cooperation between Bulgaria and Italy and issues of mutual interest. Roberto Fico is also scheduled to meet with Vice President Iliyana Iotova.
