One of the main questions of the first conference of presidents in the new National Assembly was whether the admission of the MPs to the Parliament will be done with a Covid-19 green certificate.
The issue, which was raised yesterday by GERB party during the consultations with the President, became a topic of discussion on December 7. At the start of the council, the chair of the GERB-UDF parliamentary group Desislava Atanasova confirmed this thesis.
Kostadin Kostadinov of Vazrazhdane said that requiring green certificate for access was discrimination.
MRF Deputy Parliament Speaker Mukaddes Nalbant said she had been vaccinated with a third dose and called on everyone to get vaccinated against Covid-19, but added that the parliamentary group would decide their position if the proposal went up for discussion in Parliament.
After the council, BSP leader Konelia Ninova told reporters that GERB's proposal for entering the National Assembly with a green certificate was rejected.
The Conference of Presidents had to decide on organizational issues on what the parliamentary agenda would be.
For now, the parliamentary committees will not be determined, because there is no clarity on the structure of the new Council of Ministers, said Desislava Atanasova. GERB is concerned that this will delay the legislative work of the National Assembly.
The conference of presidents also decided on the extraordinary meeting requested by GERB yesterday regarding the scandal with "Trud” newspaper.
After the council, Desislava Atanasova confirmed that tomorrow the first item during the plenary session will be the hearing of the Minister of Culture, Velislav Minekov, on the case with "Trud".
Kornelia Ninova said a general agreement had been reached to hear Minekov. BSP proposed finding a quick solution to prevent a shock increase in electricity prices from January, even if there is no structured committee.
