Demonstration by IMRO party representatives took place outside the Presidency minutes before the start of the Consultative Council on National Security convened by the Bulgarian President on January 10.
The topic of the meeting is "Integration of the Western Balkans into the EU. The role of the Republic of Bulgaria in the EU enlargement and in the process of stabilisation and association: the Republic of North Macedonia and Albania".

The demonstrators called the rally peaceful, but said it could turn into a protest. They insist on guaranteeing the rights of Bulgarians in the Republic of North Macedonia, ending hate speech and recognising our common history.

Those present at the demonstration said they were ready to call a referendum on the attitudes of Bulgarians on these issues.
