As of today, January 6, the districts of Rousse, Blagoevgrad and Sofia district are classified as Covid-19 dark red zones, bringing the number of districts that are dark red zones to 7, including Sofia-city, Pernik, Varna and Bourgas.
The morbidity rate in Blagoevgrad has risen by 124% for the past week. There are 626 infections per 100,000 population. No tightening of the anti-measures in the district has been discussed. There are possibilities for providing additional beds in the hospitals. There is no shortage of intensive care beds.
In the town of Gotse Delchev, 43 out of 88 beds in the hospital are occupied. There is only one available bed left in the intensive care ward.
There is no increase in the number of children infected with Covid-19.
More people want to get vaccinated.
