A Russian hacker was detained in Bulgaria at the request of the United States Department of Justice.
The Russian was wanted by the FBI for infecting computers with IP addresses in California. He copied the personal data of their users, including bank card details, and then sold them on the "Darknet".
The 34-year-old cyber pirate was located in Bulgaria’s Bansko winter resort and detained by the Chief Directorate for Combatting Organised Crime. The Blagoevgrad District Court has remanded the Russian in custody.
