The General Directorate for Combating Organised Crime and the Internal Security Directorate are conducting a specialised police operation targeting illegal migration. The operation took place on the territory of Sofia, Pernik, Tran and Blagoevgrad on March 22.
Eleven people were detained, two of whom were Ministry of Interior employees, and 14 addresses were searched.
Mobile phones, SIM cards, narcotic substances, radios, illegal weapons, ammunition and excise goods were seized.
The group was taking migrants from the region of Sofia to Western Europe.
