Traffic police on November 1 launches the operation "Winter", which aims to ensure that vehicles are ready for driving in winter conditions.
The inspections will mainly focus on whether the tyres are suitable and the headlights are working. However, traffic police will also monitor for violations by cyclists and pedestrians.
From tomorrow until 7 November, at SBA workshops, there will be free-of-charge checks on the condition of cars and whether they are ready for winter.
From November 15 until March 1, drivers are required to obligatory use winter tyres.
The operation will go through three stages. Cyclists and scooters will be checked first, pedestrians and then the compliance of vehicles are prepared for driving in winter conditions.
