Caretaker Prime Minister, Dimitar Glavchev, on November 6 congratulated the Republican Party candidate, Donald Trump, on his election victory and wished him every success in his highly responsible mission as President of the United States.
The website of the Council of Ministers notes that the Bulgarian side shared satisfaction with the high level of the Bulgarian-US relations and expressed confidence that the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the US will continue its upward development in the future, including in key areas such as trade and economic cooperation, energy diversification, innovation and security and defence.
Donald Trump has secured victory in Wisconsin as well. It's the latest of the swing states to secure 10 electoral votes. Trump also wins Alaska, which provides 3 electoral votes. Thus, according to the projected results of the American broadcaster CBS at the moment the Republican wins 286 electoral votes against 226 for Kamala Harris. 270 electoral votes are needed to win the White House.
