The Movement for Rights and Freedoms ( MRF) saw an increase in its vote share, gets the support of the Bulgarian citizens and its voters, Mustafa Karadayi, leader of MRF, said at a briefing after the end of the election day on October 2, 2022.

He thanked the MRF structures for the election result.

"Once again, the Bulgarian voters did not empower anyone to rule in a single-party way. In our opinion, the Bulgarian citizens sent a strong sign that the politicians in Bulgaria should talk to each other, have a dialogue, seek a coalition for the sake of solving the people's problems and not to have dividing lines. Bulgaria must have a stable majority that will produce a stable government so that there is stability for the country and for the Bulgarian citizens," Karadayi added.

He called on political leaders to overcome their egos and seek unity.

Karadayi stressed that he sees his Euro-Atlantic partners also worried about the political crisis Bulgaria is facing. The situation requires responsibility, MRF leader said.

The party would coalesce with all parties that would take responsibility in order to solve the crises, he added.

On 2 October, 2022, Bulgarians went to the polls as the country holds its fourth parliamentary election since April 2021.

The previous government, led by Prime Minister kiril Petkov, was brought down by a vote of no confidence in June, the first time this has happened in Bulgaria since the democratic transition in 1990. The no- confidence vote was triggered by the decision of "There Is Such a People" party by withdrawing its support from the four-party governing coalition.
