Natural gas prices in October are expected to rise by about 3%. This was confirmed to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission by Bulgargaz CEO, Vesselin Sinabov, on September 26.
"The main reason for this is the higher contracted volumes for October compared to September, which, in turn, reduced the impact of the volumes under the contract with Azerbaijan. The mix for October also includes volumes from the Alexandroupolis terminal, which will be commissioned on 1 October, 2024," said Bulgargaz CEO Vesselin Sinabov.
Sinabov will submit his final proposal on October 1, when the new gas prices will come into effect after approval by the utilities regulator.
