There is a potential danger of a migrant wave to Bulgaria, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev commented after the meeting of the Consultative Council on National Security, which discussed the risks for Bulgaria in the context of the conflicts in the Middle East.
"There is a potential danger of a migrant wave, but at the moment the flows to Bulgaria are of their normal size, low. There is no change in the structure of the migrant flow, but there is a risk that it will increase. All measures are being taken so that all citizens are calm," assured caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.
Glavchev stated that the meeting of the Consultative Council on National Security had gone well and expressed satisfaction that it had been convened.
The caretaker Prime Minister again gave the example of the good organization of the evacuation of the Bulgarians from Beirut and commented on the evacuation of the Bulgarian citizens from Iran. He assured that Bulgaria is ready, but no one has expressed willingness yet. According to him, the Bulgarians in Iran are between 45 and 50 people. It is not recommended to travel to Iran or leave the country, he added.
