Police operation against vote-buyng takes place in Bourgas

A specialised police operation targeting crimes related to the political rights of citizens as well as conventional crime is underway in the coastal city of Bourgas on Septemebr 30.

Private addresses, commercial establishments and other places for which there is information that criminal activity may be taking place are being checked.

In parallel, checks on passing vehicles at border crossings around Bourgas continue. They are aimed countering illegal migration.

The checks involve teams of the Security Police, Traffic Police, Economic Police, Criminal Police, teams of the Burgas Gendarmerie.

The aim of the operation is to guarantee the peaceful and safe conduct of the upcoming election process.
