Ensuring Europe's security in the face of military conflicts in the region, strengthening the rule of law in Bulgaria and fighting corruption and organised crime were discussed today, October 23, by Head of State Rumen Radev at a meeting at the Presidential Institution with the heads of diplomatic missions of the EU member states, the United States, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

During the meeting, a number of topics on the European Union's agenda were also discussed, including enhancing the competitiveness of European economies, strengthening the common defence policy, the EU enlargement process to be based on the merits of the candidate countries, curbing illegal migration to Europe, demographic challenges and others.
