A response is awaited from Gazprom whether Bulgaria can receive gas under the current contract

Today we expect a reply from Gazprom whether our country will be able to receive the natural gas under its current contract.

Bulgaria has not been receiving blue fuel since the end of April after we refused to pay the new model requested by the Russian company - in roubles. However, our country has requested to take the quantities daily, but never receives them.

The caretaker government's goal is still to take the blue fuel even after the end of the current contract, which expires on December 31. It is not yet clear what exactly Bulgaria has offered as options, whether to pay in rubles or another scheme. According to information from the caretaker government, the talks with Gazprom have been coordinated with the European Union.
