In recent days, three of the parliamentary parties opposed Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova to attend the first sitting of the 48th National Assembly - GERB, "We Continue the Change" and "Democratic Bulgaria".
According to "Vazrazhdane" party, these actions will spoil Bulgaria's relations with Russia.
The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) rather remained neutral, while the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) did not comment on the issue.
“Bulgaria Ascending” described the controversy over Mitrofanova's presence as political smoke and urged not to shift the focus from discussions about problems in Bulgaria.
According to protocol, the first sitting of the new Parliament is attended by representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps.
