The black box of the crashed Su-25 military aircraft has been found.
The data is yet to be deciphered. The black box was found in a part of the tail of the aircraft that was preserved and not burned. A portion of the aircraft's wing was also found.
A re-inspection of the accident site is underway. Interviews are being conducted. All documentation concerning the training flight has been seized.
"In the additional inspection that is being carried out now, the black box of the aircraft will be removed and seized. The possible causes of the crash are technical malfunction, pilot error or other unforeseen circumstances, which are yet to be established," Col. Hristo Tinev, military prosecutor, from Sliven said on September 29.
The condition of Colonel Peyo Donchev, who ejected shortly before landing, is stable, with no danger to life.
He is under medical observation at the MMA. If the doctors allow, he will be able to be interviewed today.
Yesterday, September 28, around 14.00, there was an accident with a Su-25 military aircraft near Bezmer airbase. On approach for landing the pilot ejected. A fire broke out at the accident site, the aircraft was completely burnt.
The Su-25 aircraft was repaired two years ago in Belarus.
