Bulgaria’s public supplier, "Bulgargaz” EAD, has signed an additional agreement with Gastrade S.A. to increase the reserved capacity at the Alexandroupolis LNG terminal to 10,600,000 MWh/year for a period of 10 years starting from the year the terminal’s commercial operation.
The increase in the storage and regasification capacity of the LNG terminal near Alexandroupolis by Bulgargaz EAD ensures the country's energy security, continuity of supply and diversification of natural gas supply sources and routes, the public supplier said on September 19.
The agreement is in compliance with the Decision of the Council of Ministers of 15 September 2022.
